Backblasts.com a decent alternative to Drip Feed Blasts (DFB)

Drip Feed LinksThe more you can schedule the better it gets. That's what I've found, and since buying a dedicated server to run all my tools and processes, I get less distracted by the tech of new tools and spend more time doing resource heavy optimization strategies, like writing content, contacting webmasters and monetizing my network via affiliate and co-partnerships.

We've all heard of building links via profiles.

Simply put, when you register on many websites, they sometimes gives you a personal page where it is possible to add your website. As there are many forums which have a high-page rank, the thinking is that this Page Rank is passed to the personal pages you create when you register.

Here are a few you can find for yourself to register or create a new profile.

Now the overall value of that profile link is an unknown quantity. If you believe what some software and forums tell you, this is all you need to rank in position #1 in Google. That's rubbish. If that were the case, everyone would be first right?

However, what we do know is that Google positions a website based on a series of factors and that includes links. So, if you have a large number of links, then you should be able to get high in the search engines, right?

Wrong again, because having 10,000 links from forums on their own just doesn't look natural does it? I mean take a step back and become a manual reviewer, does it seem logical that a webmaster would spend the time and effort to create a website and then have just 10,000 links pointing to their website all from forum profiles.

That's the preamble to the positioning of the next service that I'm reviewing on VAMT.

Backblasts.com
Summary: builds forum and guestbook profile links to your website. This is organized by project level and can be set according to daily link quotas, and URLs. Setup a project and then let it run.

I've been beta-testing this service for the past month and a half, and have found the tutorial videos and explanations of how to harness the system effectively, very straightforward.

You purchase a monthly subscription which provides you with a  daily quota of links. You can then create a project (domain) and assign a certain number of links to that project, as well as assign keywords that will be used as the link-text when the profile is created.

So, if you wanted to be really stupid you could set one domain up and assign up to 2,000 links a day to it. That would be the equivalent of putting your domain into a deep fat fryer. Instead, and returning the the preamble, what this system does allow you to do is setup a drip-feed of links to your website over time. For example, setting 100 links per day per a domain is going to allow you to easily avoid any possible slapdowns by Google while bringing in links constantly over time to your website.

I don't give any link building that I don't do myself a certain seal of approval. That's to say that if it takes me more that 10 minutes to configure a link process, then it’s not worth my time. Backblasts.com is very easy to use, I was able to setup a project and enter 100s of different keywords and then just let it sit there and run according to my schedule.

The next day, the report section showed me all the links that were created, which you can download and check. I did two runs and found that that one month after using the service, 80% of those links were still there. Bear in mind that took literally a minute to setup.

Unique Features:

1. post-project editing means that after you've created a project you can return to it at a later stage and make changes (link scheduling, keywords being targeted, or the URLs that are being targeted)

2. Keyword filters mean that you can apply previously created keyword filters to new projects. This saves time, as you can promote a range of different sites according to setting up just a really good keyword filter.

3. Two tools to help with indexing and integrating backblasts project creation with a Wordpress blog (see below).

Advanced features:

Drip Feed Links

  • Unique Wordpress plugin that will automatically import your pages, titles and trackbacks into backblasts.com for use in projects.
  • Backblaster  – a desktop app that will login to your profiles from your computer and this increases the speed at which profiles get indexed because logged in users are displayed on the first page of the forum, and search engines will therefore crawl these more often.
  • Linklicious integration for another layer of getting your links indexed.

Pricing:

Are you using Drip Feed Blasts? Why would you be paying $179 a month for 2,000 backlinks, when with Backblasts, the same quota will cost you a third at only $69.00 !

I'm sure that the BB service cost will go up eventually as the popularity of it grows.

I have thrashed domains using this tool just to check the stick rates and have found them sticking one month after the project runs was completed.

How you integrate this service with your other online marketing activities is your strategy, but if you're looking to drip-feed your link building, then I think this is going to be one of the better ones to pick.
