BMD 6 is a great evolution
If you were unfortunate enough to buy Bookmarking Demon 5 (BMD5) in the last year, you would have every right in thinking that you just bought a nice looking piece of software with very little substance. In fact that was the case, 2000 sites, and submitting to a few, Pligg completely rubbish and who'd wanna submit to Scuttle which were spammed to death 4 years ago let alone the last 12 months.
Having said that BMD had and still has an attractive feature and it does work well, if the sites were actually registering in the past. That feature is scheduling.
Link velocity, the rate at which you grow links, the quality of those links, the sources, are all things touted as key components to any half-series setup in SEM, and that is something that BMDs schedule function always did very well. Select your sites and submit them over the course of a month:
Fire and forget on a drip feed, just add dedicated server.
So just as that Demon face looked up at me from my desktop on a 1TB internet connection and I was about to move it to the trash cursing, Edwinsoft went and released BMD version 6.
Version 6 is in fact all their products in one, which is going to be great for users and should mean that the updates come around much quicker.
The new version of BMD6 as part of the Ultimate Demon package is a much smoother affair. BMD5 always suffered from what I thought was the most complex removal and addition system ever created inside a SEM app. Thankfully these issues have now been removed and the whole thing is logical and straightforward. BMD was always a captcher burner and so it's good to see it supporting captchasniper as well as 4 other captcher breakers, there are also more refinements to limit the burn rate. Catchall's in email account creation mean you can just select an account to pull the emails from domain forwarding setups. RSS camoflage to mix in other sources to your submissions as well as a much MUCH better Pligg engine make version 6 probably the best of all the Pligg submitters on the market at the moment, LFE, Sick and AP6 to boot!
Other good features include a category selection in batch, and the ability to create groups of sites. So you can create a travel or an SEO group and then use keyword searches to pull back all the sites that have those cateories, and then save them off as a group for future projects. Quite whether you need to be so selective when the taget base is what it is, is debatable but who knows what other platforms might be added in the future, which may make this feature have more overall weight. If you don't have a scraper, there is also one of these inside software as well as a footprint saver, which means that you will be able to scrape and add new sites from within the app. Personally it won't touch HR (all kneel!), but not everyone can afford that one.
